How to stay safe while travelling alone.

Travelling alone can let one feel intimidated, however, here's what you can learn from your solo adventure. Solo travel safety begins before you leave: Researching is an important part of travelling. Knowledge protects you from the danger of misinformation, unsavoury individuals and/or naively wandering into an unsafe area.

Travelling solo requires some special attention to safety, here are some tips to keep in mind:
Schedule your arrival during the day
Know how you will get around
Study the city map before you leave
Stay in public, don't wander off.
Walk with confidence

Travelling alone forces us outside of our comfort zones, which makes us more receptive to new people and experiences. And solo travellers are less intimidating and more approachable than groups.
